Call me childish, but I've always loved bows. They're so girly and fun, and I was excited to see them looking pretty on the runway:

My First Award
I was very excited today when I was checking one of my favorite blogs, Domestic Sophisticate, and saw that I was given this award:
What I Wore Today
I would like to pass it onto 5 gals whose blogs I enjoy checking daily for their outfit inspiration. Maybe I will post outfits of my own one day. Until then, these are some of my favorites.

Thrift Store Find
I've never been big on thrift stores before, but after reading some blogs on great finds, I decided to give it a try. Yesterday my fiance and I went to a Goodwill, but I didn't have much luck. I ended up with one cardigan. Today I decided to try a thrift shop in a different town - and found some amazing deals. I ended up buying 5 pieces, for just $8.20 - amazing. My best find of the day was this Oscar de la Renta jacket for 95 cents. Maybe it's not real?
Unfortunately, my camera is kind of old and I have no timer setting - so I tried both in front of the mirror and taking it myself, neither came out great. Ignore what I'm wearing underneath, I just threw it on over the sweater I wore out today. I also took a close up of the pattern (and yes, the label too...). I also purchased a navy Petite Sophisticate jacket w/ a belted waist, a Merona grey long-sleeve t-shirt, a navy blue skirt w/ white polka dots and a light blue NY & Co. button down shirt. I'm feeling happy after a successful day!

My Closet: Grey Pumps
Okay, so I'm really slacking... I still haven't taken pictures of my new purchases. But I did find a picture online of another pair of shoes I bought! These are Isaac Mizrahi for Target Angel Pumps. Originally $32.99, I found them on sale for $16.48.
It's Cold Outside
I wish I had more options when it comes to coats. I have a black pea coat from Petite Sophisticate that is my standard. Here are a few I have my eye on.
This Anthropologie Dear Watson Coat ($188) would look really cute over a dress, with tights. I'm not sure about the length of the sleeves though - I've never been a fan of the 3/4 look when it comes to coats.
Coach Jacket ($498) - probably my favorite of this post!
I like the color of this Donatella Swing Coat ($154, Macys), but I'm pretty sure I'm too short to wear a swing coat like this. I love how they look on my taller friends though!
Kenneth Cole Reaction Refined Wool Pea Coat ($150, Macys) - because I will never get sick of the classic pea coat. I just want some choice in color.

My Closet: A Few New Purchases
I did a ton of shopping this past weekend... at least compared to what I have done over the past several months. I've been too lazy to get up pictures of everything, but I wanted to post a few things I'm excited about!
I've been wanting tall black boots for awhile now. I got a pair from Old Navy a few years ago that work, but they have two buckles on the side and are more "cute to play in the snow" than "sexy/professional". The Old Navy ones are also flat, and I wanted heel. I found these boots at Target. They are Merona Kaylie Tall Boots, for $32.99. I could wear these over or under jeans, with leggings, and with a new skirt I got from a second hand store for work. I see myself getting a lot of use out of these!
I also got this Merona Scoop Neck Pleat Dress at Target. It was $24.99 in the store, $19.99 online. I got dark grey tights and light grey pumps to go with it. I can't wait for a chance to wear it out! Maybe to the holiday party for school.
I got this Merona Cardigan for $10 at Target, only mine is a red-burgundy color with grey lining.
Pictures of the rest of my purchases coming soon!

I Want: A Sweater Dress
I love the sweater dress and legging look. I'm on a search to find one that looks alright on me. It has to be just the right length because I'm short, and my shape looks funny if they're not fitted. I'm still looking, but here are a few that I like:
Alfani Cowl Neck Cable-Knit Dress ($62.30, Macy's)
Banana Republic ($98)
Banana Republic ($130)
Style & Co. Space-Dyed Cowl Neck Sweater Dress ($49, Macy's)
